Lokomotiv Cove Football Club today announced the signing of former Queensland Roar captain Chad Gibson who will join their Premier League squad for the 2009 season.

Helping launch the inaugural A-League season Gibson featured heavily in the advertising campaign which launched the competition in Australia.

Recruited by Coach Chris Karatzis, Gibson brings a wealth of experience to the Loko Cove side and, at just 32 years of age, he is fit and ready to play.

Lokomotiv supporters will get their first chance to see the club's Premier League players in action on Wednesday night, when they meet State League two side Hawkesbury City in the first Round of the Football NSW Tiger Turf Cup competition.

The match kicks off at 8.30pm at Bensons Lane, Richmond.
